About Me
Licensed General Contractor & Construction Manager
As a Massachusetts-licensed Construction Supervisor with over 25 years in residential and multi-family construction, I’ve taken more than 700 projects through from planning to closeout — new construction, multi-family conversions, gut renovations, forensic repairs, and energy upgrades across Greater Boston and the Berkshires. The work started in the field and never left it. That hands-on foundation is what makes the difference: knowing what good work looks like, catching problems before they’re buried in the walls, and understanding exactly what it takes to hold contractors to a standard.
Project Management
Permits, trades, schedule, and accountability — managed end to end. Every phase is scoped, priced, and approved before work starts. Every project runs through a dedicated client portal for budget monitoring, owner contributions, and access to all critical project files and final reports.
Budget Forecasting & Vendor Sourcing
Realistic budgets built before commitment, not after. I source and vet qualified vendors for every scope, manage the bidding process, and present owners with clear options — so decisions are made on real numbers, not estimates that fall apart once work begins.
Building Forensics
When a building is failing, the actual cause matters — not just the symptom. Master Building Condition Reports, envelope investigations, and multi-phase remediation for condominium associations and private owners who need a definitive answer and a durable fix.
Code & Compliance
Deep working knowledge of the Massachusetts Building Code, fire-rated assemblies, stretch code energy requirements, and permitting across Greater Boston municipalities — with a trusted network of attorneys, architects, and engineers for zoning, conservation, and condo conversion work.
Every project is managed personally — there’s no team clients get handed to. Before any phase starts, it’s scoped, priced, and approved. Retainage is held on every contractor until their work passes inspection. That structure keeps the job moving and the investment protected from the first permit to the final walkthrough.
See the work firsthand.
Real projects, real scope, real outcomes — from Victorian condo conversions and ground-up new construction in Cambridge and the Berkshires, to full building rescues from defective developers and complex regulatory navigation through zoning boards and conservation commissions.
